Moshe Azoulay
President of Skyrise Properties, LLC and International Investor
Moshe Azoulay was born in Israel in 1946, and moved to the United States in 1968. He was involved in an executive capacity with a number of businesses ventures from 1968 until 1986, when he founded American Garment Finishers Corporation. Within a few years American Garment Finishers Corporation was considered to be the largest jean finishing plant in the world.
In 1989 Mr. Azoulay began to invest in the Real Estate market. Presently, Mr. Azoulay owns several million square feet of office, warehouse, and data center space throughout the United States, and has significant holdings in multifamily properties as well. He has several property interests and development projects throughout Asia and Eastern Europe including Israel and Romania. His holding company, Skyrise Properties, (www.skyriseproperties.com), is a majority partner in the highly publicized "Eastside" project in Richardson, Texas. Additionally, he is the co-owner of Fobare Commercial, a leasing and management company that oversees many development projects and over twenty-five office buildings, and shopping centers throughout Texas.
Other investments of Mr. Azoulay's include co-ownership and a major share of RF Code, a high security technology company collaborating with Intel and venture capitalist Yet2Ventures. RF Code is located in Austin, Texas. Mr. Azoulay is also the co-owner of Ampurius Holdings Limited, a London based Investment Company.
Mr. Azoulay resides in Dallas, Texas but maintains residences in several other cities and countries. He has two daughters, Leora, an attorney who lives in Dallas, and Kim, a lawyer in New York . Mr. Azoulay is the proud grandparent to six grandchildren.
Along with maintaining an interest in many other business ventures, Mr. Azoulay served on the board of MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. He also served on the board for JP Morgan Chase El Paso and The University of Texas at El Paso for over ten years.
Leora Azoulay Short
Senior Vice President
Mrs. Short's responsibilities include all aspects of property and company operations at Skyrise. Mrs. Short is a 1998 graduate of Suffolk University Law School in Boson, Massachusetts, and Magna Cum Laude alumna of St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas (1995). She is a member of the New York and Texas State Bars, the American Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association. Mrs. Short is also a CCIM candidate member, serves on several boards and is active in many charitable organizations.
Tod Fobare
Partner
In 2000, Mr. Fobare became a Partner in Skyrise Properties. Mr. Fobare is responsible for the acquisition and disposition of Skyrise assets. Since 2000, Mr. Fobare and Partner, Moshe Azoulay, have purchased, developed and sold numerous commercial real estate projects throughout the United States. Mr. Fobare received a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from Union College where he was an All-American Hockey Player in 1983.
Peter Kaufman, CPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kaufman focuses on financial issues at Skyrise Properties and assists in evaluation investment opportunities. Mr. Kaufman's broad range of expertise was honed at several prestigious companies including Cushman & Wakefield, Travelers Realty Investment Company and Cooper & Lybrand. Mr. Kaufman holds master degrees from M.I.T. and Northeastern University. He also has a B.A. from University of Pennsylvania.
